Son of Dust
Son of Dust is the story of Fulcun Geroy, the Catholic lord of a fief on the borders of 11th-century Normandy. Geroy falls in love with the wife of a rival at the court of William the Conqueror and becomes entangled in an adulterous affair. The liaison has fateful political, romantic, and religious consequences, as the Hamlet-like Fulcun struggles with the tension between his love for God and his passion for the flesh.
Son of Dust is one of many riveting historical novels written by H. F. M. Prescott, who studied history at Oxford before she became a writer.
