It was during the feast of Pentecost when a dejected, cowering, frightened group of Jesus' closest followers were suddenly transformed by the Holy Spirit into bold–exceptionally bold–proclaimers of a life-changing message. But what exactly was the message they were proclaiming? Moreover, is it really possible that a very specific proclamation from nearly 2,000 years ago can actually transform people today?

Under the Influence of Jesus is best-selling author Joe Paprocki's emphatic answer to that question: Yes, it can! Throughout the book, Paprocki explores not only the various elements of the message itself–such as the kingdom of God, the cross, the Resurrection, sin, and conversion–but also the particular characteristics of a changed heart and life that result from accepting the message that Jesus is Lord and that we are now a "new creation" in a new kind of kingdom.

Candidly and accessibly written, Under the Influence of Jesus is ultimately an invitation to encounter Christ in a whole new way, to thrive under his lordship, and to use our own transformed hearts and lives to help bring others into a life-changing relationship with Jesus.
