Wanderlight™: A Pilgrim’s Adventure offers schools and parishes an engaging, exciting, new digital resource to complement traditional faith formation. Whether you’re looking for ways to motivate students in the classroom or looking for a new way to continue faith formation while remote learning, Wanderlight meets students where they are and provides a safe and healthy space for them to explore their faith and learn more about the Catholic church.

At every level, Wanderlight immerses children in a world in which they live their Catholic faith, with reinforcement of doctrine, opportunities to practice Catholic teachings, and cultivate Catholic Spirituality. Children encounter each of the sacraments on their pilgrimage, engage with Scripture, and practice traditional Catholic prayers. Along their journey, players will also learn about official Catholic Social Teachings such as solidarity, creating options for the poor, and caring for all of God’s magnificent creation. Each level of Wanderlight is designed with developmentally appropriate content and themes, in order to reinforce what children are learning in their faith formation classes and experiencing in their sacramental lives.

Wanderlight reinforces Catholic doctrine and practices. Because game content aligns with faith concepts, this game can be used to enhance Finding God: Our Response to God’s Gifts®, Christ Our Life®, or any faith formation program. Wanderlight for schools and parishes also includes a multi-license Administration system with reporting capabilities. To purchase Wanderlight as a package with Finding God or Christ Our Life, contact Customer Service or your Educational Consultant.

The Game Has Been That Extra Sumpthin' Sumpthin' Our Kids And Their Parents Needed.

by Melissa K

With all the crazy changes our parish religious education program has had to make this pandemic year, it has been comforting to know that Loyola Press is still there for all of our needs and more. The addition of the Wanderlight game this year has been a blessing. We decided to purchase gaming licenses for our First Graders, the First Holy Communion classes, and our brand new Third Graders and those grade 3 students preparing for Communion. Who doesn’t like a game? The feedback from the parents and their children has been amazing!! The parents are enjoying learning as they teach their kids at home and then have the added joy of watching their faces as they journey with their pilgrim and the Holy Spirit through the wonderful world of Wanderlight. The hybrid model of catechesis plus the fun of Wanderlight is proving to be a dynamic duo of religious education and evangelization for our parents as well as our students.
